In which Amanda, in her Kickstartery joy, pays tribute to my SFX awards acceptance speech for The Doctor’s Wife.
Which, since I got my honorary Doctorate the other week, I suppose she is also, these days.

No shit. Just Lexington pride. I was sitting outside Cary Library reading and eating a sandwich, and I saw someone spinning around whom I vaguely recognized. I figured it was someone from my high school, and returned to my reading. Turns out I was right on that count, actually, though off by some years. Amanda is a co-graduate of LHS, and I’m pretty sure we even had the same drama teacher (Hi Mr. Bogart!).

Say hello to my new favorite mug. I found this little guy peering out from the bottom shelf of Black Ink.
I have to use him in conjunction with a teapot, because he gets too hot to hold if I make tea in him directly, but that’s ok, as I am not operating in a teapot-less environment.
You can’t see it in this picture, but he has a little tail on his back.

What if materials could defy gravity, so that we could leave them suspended in mid-air? ZeroN is a physical and digital interaction element that floats and moves in space by computer-controlled magnetic levitation.
